Hernando, Miss. July 1, 2016– The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi is pleased to announce that Scott Burnham Hollis will now serve as chairman of its Board of Directors.
Scott Burnham Hollis of Olive Branch is an attorney and is founder and managing member of Hollis Legal Solutions, PLLC, a general law practice in Olive Branch. He is a member of both the Mississippi and Tennessee bar associations and is Chairman of the Gaming Section of the Mississippi Bar Association. He is listed in The Best Lawyers in America and was a named a Rising Star in Mid-South Super Lawyers.
A native of Clarksdale, he is married to Natasha Ingram Hollis. Hollis has chaired the Foundation’s annual black-tie fundraiser, the Crystal Ball, on three occasions. He is also an award-winning photographer, artist, and musician as well as a CrossFit enthusiast.
Hollis has served on the Board of Directors for the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi for five years and has previously been secretary and vice chairman for the Community Foundation.
The Community Foundation manages 217 donor-established funds and has distributed $16.7 million to support more than 420 charitable organizations and activities recommended by its donors, as well as charitable programs established by the foundation. Established in 2002 with a generous grant from the Maddox Foundation, the Community Foundation is an independent 501.c.3 charitable organization. The Foundation serves Bolivar, Coahoma, DeSoto, Leflore, Marshall, Panola, Quitman, Sunflower, Tallahatchie, Tate, and Tunica counties.
