Financial Services Roundtable Foundation scholarships were recently announced.  Only 15 students across the nation were chosen.  Of those 15, nine were Everfi certified.

Cassie Brading, of Lewisburg High School in DeSoto County, was one of 15 recipients – and the only from Mississippi!  She completed the Everfi course with the help of her teacher, Ms. Alison Morris, who is an avid Everfi user in her business class.  Cassie was one of three recipients from small towns; all others were from major metro areas.

The students were chosen for $5,000 tuition scholarships based on the completion of a financial literacy course or the desire to enter the financial industry.  Other criteria were based on academic performance, financial need, and character.

The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi is underwriting Everfi for 70 high schools in Mississippi. Cassie will soon disclose her college of choice, future plans, and how Everfi made this possible.
