Jacob Stockton, senior at Hernando High School, is the recipient of the Cindy Lipscomb Scholarship (formerly the DeSoto County Prayer Council Scholarship) for 2013. The annual scholarship is made possible through the endowed fund managed by the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi and is named in memory of Cindy Lipscomb. Applicants come from every high school (public and private) in the county and are judged on their Faith Walk. Jacob plans to attend Mississippi State University in the fall.
