June 12, 2026 — The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi is proud to provide 20,000 nutritious meals to individuals and families experiencing food insecurity throughout the Mississippi Delta through the service of Extra Table. The initiative is made possible through generous funding from Molina Healthcare.

Food insecurity continues to affect thousands of residents across the Delta, where many families face challenges accessing consistent, healthy meals.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to improving the health and well-being of our communities,” said Keith Fulcher, President of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi. “By working together with Extra Table and Molina Healthcare, we can make a meaningful impact on families facing food insecurity and help strengthen communities across the Delta.”

Extra Table, a Mississippi-based nonprofit dedicated to fighting hunger, purchases healthy food in bulk and delivers it to food pantries and soup kitchens across the state at no cost to recipients. The organization’s efficient distribution model allows donations to stretch further and reach more people in need.

“We are grateful for the support of the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi and Molina Healthcare,” said Martha Allen, Executive Director of Extra Table. “This funding will help us provide 20,000 meals to Mississippians who may not know where their next meal is coming from. Together, we are helping ensure that no family has to face hunger alone.”

The Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi connects people who care with causes that matter, working to improve the quality of life across the region by connecting charitable resources with community needs. Through partnerships such as this one, the Foundation continues to support initiatives that create lasting, positive change for residents throughout Northwest Mississippi.
