Keeping Our Community Healthy, Safe and Informed
Health officials recommend social distancing as a course of action to combat the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Social distancing is seen as the most effective means of slowing the spread and reducing the impact of COVID-19 among employees, their families and the communities in which we live.
On this advice, The Community Foundation is taking the following steps in response to the Coronavirus. These precautions will be in place until at least March 31 and may be changed as circumstances dictate.
The precautions are as follows:
- The Community Foundation will not hold events or host external meetings in person.
- All workshops will be rescheduled.
- When possible and essential, meetings will be held virtually using Zoom or GoToMeeting formats. Foundation staff will contact you directly about arrangements.
- As soon as an updated plan is confirmed, we will send notifications by email, the Foundation’s website at www.cfnm.org, and on social media.
The staff of The Foundation are either working remotely or on staggering work schedules. Please contact staff members by email to conduct business during this time. Individual staff members may be contacted using the E-MAIL icon below each name on the Staff directory https://cfnm.org/about-us/staff/. You may also call the direct phone line (662-449-5002) and calls will be forwarded to the appropriate staff member.
The Foundation encourages our staff, donors, nonprofits and all members of our community to stay informed about COVID-19 and to practice safe habits. The Center for Disease Control website is https://www.cdc.gov/ and our state coronavirus information website is https://msdh.ms.gov/.
