Kara Dulaney

Maddox Resource HUB Co-Director & Director of the Box Project

Kara Dulaney is an accomplished nonprofit leader with a deep commitment to enhancing quality of life and expanding opportunities in the Mississippi Delta.

Since 2019, she has served as Director of the Clarksdale Office at the Community Foundation of Northwest Mississippi, where she oversees operations and provides strategic support for both the Maddox Nonprofit & Volunteer Resources HUB (as Co-Director) and The Box Project (as Director)—a program that connects volunteer sponsors with families experiencing generational poverty. Through her role with the Northwest HUB, Kara leads initiatives to strengthen nonprofit capacity across the Foundation’s 11-county service area. She also serves on the Nonprofit Civic Engagement Cohort for the Mississippi Alliance for Nonprofits and Philanthropy.

A lifelong advocate for service, Kara began volunteering in high school and has since served as a grief counselor, therapeutic program developer, and board member for several local organizations. She currently holds leadership roles as President-Elect of the Tunica Woman’s Club and Fundraising/Development Chair for the Mississippi Federation of Women’s Clubs board (MFWC).

Kara holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and sociology from Mississippi College and a Master of Science in career and vocational counseling from the University of Memphis. She is currently completing a post-graduate certification to become a Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP), to be completed in fall 2025. Prior to joining the CFNM team, she held roles in human relations and employment management with Consolidate Medical in Memphis.

Kara resides in Tunica, Mississippi, with her husband, Joe, and is the proud mother of three adult children: Joseph, Ameliea, and Isabelle.
