Marketing & Communications Lead

A graduate of The University of Mississippi’s Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College, Ameliea has a degree in English with an emphasis in Editing, Writing, and Publishing, and a minor in Sociology. Ameliea is an award-winning writer and photographer, detailed researcher and visual story-teller. At the Community Foundation, Ameliea oversees all Marketing and Communications projects and provides creative, goal-driven leadership in the decision-making processes for both digital and print marketing efforts. Ameliea has worked in the nonprofit world for over four years pursuing her passion to give back. She has lived in three states–Mississippi, Virginia, and North Carolina–but currently resides in her hometown of Tunica, Mississippi where she enjoys observing nature, volunteering, playing tennis, and engaging in meaningful conversations about Mississippi culture.
